Instagram is a tremendous tool for digital marketers with the creativity to use it properly. I’ve seen great results with the NY Acura Dealers account; we integrated Instagram for the 2012 NAIAS campaign. Images were fed live from the show, then optimized with an integrated social media strategy.

Google Search Changing SEO Forever
Google is on fire!! The new search functionality is going to change everything; SEO is forever different. Facebook and Twitter had better reevaluate their positions to stay relevant. And, businesses using Social Media really need to make sure their strategies are sustainable. Very, very fun stuff!!
As for me, I absolutely believe there is plenty of room for Google+, Facebook, and Twitter, along with tier-2 networks like Tumblr, Instagram, and Flickr. (YouTube and Vimeo are givens.) I do believe that businesses, and the monetization of ad space, are slowly killing Facebook and will do the same to Twitter as it launches it’s ad network this Spring.
Many, many more thoughts on this to come. Off to Detroit to cover the North American International Auto Show; stay tuned here and Tier10Lab for further thoughts/recommendations on strategy and positioning regarding Google’s latest move.
Social media provides an excellent opportunity for those with a passion for strategy to drive efficient campaigns like never before. The real currency of Social Media is innovation and creativity.
